REVIEW 2011
Conference review,
19 October 2011
Software quality and testing professionals and vendors gathered in Rosebank at the 2nd
iqnite conference in South Africa on 19 October to share information regarding the latest industry trends and more, making the 2011 event with 160 attendees more than 30% bigger that the year before.
The calibre of presentations at the conference received outstanding feedback from delegates. Popular highlights included the opening keynote from Charles Wilkins (Nampak), who shared his experience along with real and interesting case studies to demonstrate how to manage a crisis, bring the crisis to an end and to identify learnings.
This was followed by nine high standard presentations and two
practical workshops held by representatives from across multiple sectors,
including Allan Gray, Denel Land Systems, Derivco, ISACA, Standard Bank and many more. The Open Space session, where the attendees joined together in open working groups, demonstrated that this is a great format to discuss work-defined hypotheses, share ideas and exchange individual opinions. Finally, in his closing keynote, Janusz Luterek from Hahn & Hahn Attorneys explained the new Consumer Protection Act, with particular reference to what this means for software and software quality.
Throughout the whole day an exhibition, proudly supported by a number of leading vendors and industry bodies, provided the delegates with the opportunity to gain detailed information and newest developments directly from the participating vendors.
The iqnite conference organisers thank all delegates, speakers, sponsors & exhibitors as well as the Programme Committee for making
iqnite 2011 South Africa such a success. We look forward to your continued support at our events in future.
