Biography

Rudolf van Megen,
SQS (Conference Chair)

Rudolf van Megen is CEO and co-founder of SQS Software Quality Systems AG. SQS is a Professional Service organisation focussed solely on Software Testing and Quality Management, and has more than 2,100 employees in fifteen countries across Europe, Africa, the US and India.

Rudolf has worked in many different areas of Software Testing and Quality Management over the last 30 years. His main interests today are focussed on developing the area of „Independent Testing and Quality Management“ in order to extend this market further, but also to move SQS Group forward within that market.

After having received a Diploma in Economics from the University of Cologne, Rudolf worked within a research project at the University of Cologne- Department of Computer Science, supported by the German Government (via BMFT) and Siemens AG on Software Testing and Cost Estimation.

Rudolf is a well-known presenter, author of several publications and books, and Conference Chair of the iqnite Conferences. Rudolf van Megen volunteers additional time for different organisations: he is a Member of the Advisory Board of ASQF e.V., an Economy Embassador of the city of Cologne, a Board Member of the Council of Media and IT for the City of Cologne, a Delegate of DIHK, a Member of General Assembly of Cologne Chamber of Commerce, and a Founding Member of Bellheim Gesellschaft e.V. (initiative Economy Ethic).
