Conference review, 28 - 29 October 2009
At this year's Software & Systems Quality Conference
Australia in Melbourne, over 160 delegates from across
Australia and abroad were educated (and often
thoroughly entertained!) by a wide range of
presentations.
Keynote Speaker Robin Heizmann from Credit Suisse
in France received some excellent feedback: "This is
so applicable to where our organisation is now and I
can see how we could apply some ideas" wrote
one delegate. This is just one example for the
quality of our speakers. The theme that the ideas
were transferrable from the presentation room back
to the workplace was heard over and over again which is great.
As the SQC Organising Team this is our goal - that the conference provides a range of case studies and experiences that delegates can learn from, taking ideas and concepts back to their own workplace for implementation.
Thanks to all our speakers for sharing their experiences and for the work you put into preparing your presentation. Keep your eye out for the next Call for Papers due out in February 2010.
The ongoing success of our conference depends also on the continuing support of our sponsors and exhibitors and we're very grateful for their participation.
"The quality of the delegates was fantastic" one of our sponsors wrote. Thanks again for your support.
And last but not least a huge thank you to all our delegates at this year's conference. Your attendance helps us to build a strong community of software testing and quality assurance professionals throughout Australia, ensuring that our industry continues to be at the forefront of thought leadership and technical excellence within the wider IT community.
Delegate statements from this year's conference feedback evaluation:
- "Brilliant, just the thing I came to hear"
- "Really interesting account of an enormous project undertaking."
- "Great insight into issues that everyone encounters."
- "Confronting but oh so refreshing!"
- "Really enjoyed the dynamic of a customer and testing consultant
interacting during a presentation. This really worked well! :)"
- "Really great tips to take away with me."
The Software & Systems Quality Conference is over for another year but without taking a breath we are already in planning for our 2010 conference to be held in Sydney
- rebranded iqnite 2010 in Australia.
The Software & Systems Quality Conference (SQC) is blazing a new trail for know-how transfer in
software quality assurance: next year, SQC is becoming iqnite. With the symbolic
lighting of the fuse, we will continue to be a driving force for new trends, technologies and future strategies.
Catch fire and visit the iqnite conference from 26 - 27 October 2010 in Sydney, Australia.
Kind Regards
The SQC Australia Conference Team
